Anna Torre-Smith of ATS Studios in Maryland will introduce 3 products in the Shizen Series  and demo one rusted Metal Effects technique..

Students will create hands-on samples of  Koruku , Kai , and Kyoto .

Koruku (Cork finish)   Kai (Sea foam)   Kyoto (Kyo champ)
Koruku (pronounced co-roo-koo) means cork.  It is a trowel-applied, architectural, interior decorative texture, which combines natural, sustainable cork aggregate, recycled and processed rice straw   Kai (pronounced ki) means seashell.  It combines the texture of natural soil, sand, stone and sea shells to provide a natural pearl-like, glittering textural finish with outstanding hardness and a strong resistance to mold and mildew.   Kyoto (pronounced key-oh-toe) means capital city and was the name of the Imperial capital of Japan.  Kyoto is a traditional Japanese-style texture finish that incorporates interlocking fibers, soil, and diatomaceous earth.

Modern Masters has provided decorative artists with a new line of environmentally-friendly products under the umbrella "Platinum Series."   Two lines within Platinum are Shizen and Bellezza, both of which are--or will be--approved by the LEED Green Building Rating System

These products are not generally available to the public, being sold only through Platinum Training Centers (e.g. Anna's ATS Studios) and only to individuals who complete certification training.

Please Note:  This demo with hands-on demo DOES NOT replace certification training.  May 13th participants will NOT be able to purchase Shizen products without completing the 3-day Intense Preferred Applicator Course at a Platinum Training Center.
