Fee includes - Niche and Statue stencils
(valued at $128), RocLon cloth, paint, printed instruction.
Note: All pre-prep must be done by the student
before class. However, we have pre-prepped some RocLon for late registrations.
Create this graceful maiden in a niche using stencils
and water-based glazes. Learn a basic sponging technique to create stone.
Grisaille techniques will be explored with emphasis on light and shadow to create
a 3-dimensional illusion. Students will complete one (approx) 37"x30" sample
on RocLon cloth, provided. RocLon will be available at the Sept 13 meeting
or arrange for a friend to pick it up for you.

(so far) - pattern, RocLon cloth, paint, printed instruction.
Note: All pre-prep must be done by the student before class.
However, we have pre-prepped some RocLon for late registrations.
Paint a fresco-style mural on a sandy ground. Arches and columns will be transferred
from pattern while the tree and birds will be painted freehand. [Those elements
are also included on the pattern.] The piece will then be aged by sanding
and glazing. Students will complete one (approx) 26"x19" sample on RocLon
cloth, provided. RocLon will be available at the Sept 13 meeting or arrange
for a friend to pick it up for you.

About the instructor...
Having received his BFA in commercial
design, Jeff Raum began his art career as a scenic designer for animated TV commercials
in New York City. Soon after, he became an art director and then a make-up
designer on Broadway. After moving to Los Angeles 11 years ago, Jeff began
his own business, Muracles. He creates murals, trompe l'oeil, and stenciling
for residential and commercial clients including Gucci, I.Magnum, and the Las Vegas
Hilton. Jeff has had numerous appearances on the Discovery Channel on The
Christopher Lowell Show and is a popular, highly-sought-after instructor at SALI
conventions and various workshops across the country. His products and services
