The Library can be accessed by members in good standing.

     1. View the Library contents and make your choice. 

     2. Email your choices to Celeste, the Librarian.  (A link is provided below.)

     3. Pick up your Library items at the next chapter meeting or make special arrangements
           directly with Celeste to pick them up from her.     
           Note:  You must give Celeste a deposit check in order to receive the items.

     4. Return the items to Celeste on time to avoid late fees.
 

     1. Deposit amount =  cost of the item + shipping + $5 rental for the 1st month
             Smaller items require only $3/1st month.
     2. Number of items allowed per checkout = maximum of 3.
     3. Rental fees are $5/1st month and for smaller items like cards, $3/1st month..
     4. A rental period = 1 month from meeting date to meeting date.
     5. A deposit check payable to CADA must be given to the Librarian in order to receive the requested items.
          (The check will be returned when the items are returned.)  See note below.
     6. The member assumes all responsibility in returning the items on time.
     7. Late fees: If the items are not returned on time, the deposit check will be cashed, and
           a late charge of $10/month will be charged until the item is returned.

   We know the deposit may sound very high and unfair, but read on.

    To understand, you should know that
In the past, many (too many) Library items were mysteriously lost
and never returned.  For example, a pricey fine art book, a classic SALI publication on stenciling, and many other items--some not replaceable-- were never recovered.

    You can image the inconvenience and annoyance you would experience if you had been patiently waiting for a much-needed item only to find out it was never to be returned and now would have to be replaced.

    To replace the item, the Chapter would incur not only the dollar amount of the item but also every-growing shipping charges, and members would have to wait yet more time to check it out.

   
Rest assurred, your deposit will be returned to you upon return of the checked-out items.
